Job Description
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $25–$30 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Varies by business needs and assigned shifts (overtime may be available)
When the shop doors roll open, you’ll jump into diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on diesel-powered trucks and equipment used in construction, agriculture, and fleet operations. If you take pride in solving complex mechanical problems and keeping machines safe and road-ready, this role puts your skills to work every day.
What You’ll Do- Pinpoint issues and repair diesel engines, vehicles, and heavy equipment.
- Complete scheduled preventive maintenance, inspections, and fluid services.
- Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Rebuild/replace engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, and suspension components.
- Handle oil changes, filter swaps, and other routine services to manufacturer standards.
- Identify emerging mechanical concerns to prevent costly downtime.
- Leverage diagnostic platforms and hand/power tools to verify and fix faults.
- Document work performed with accurate service and maintenance records.
- Follow safety procedures and keep the bay clean and organized.
- Support additional shop maintenance and mechanical tasks as needed.
- Hands-on experience as a diesel or heavy-duty mechanic (preferred).
- Background with diesel trucks, trailers, construction or agricultural equipment, or fleet vehicles.
- Sharp troubleshooting and diagnostic instincts across multiple systems.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
- Comfort using diagnostic tools and a wide range of mechanical equipment.
- Team player who can also work independently and own outcomes.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
- Certifications or formal training are a plus—hands-on expertise is highly valued.
