CWI Welding & Piping Quality Specialist - VT Level II

• Can you navigate isometrics, P&IDs, WPS/PQRs, and MTRs without missing a detail?
• Are you confident verifying welder qualifications and witnessing pressure tests to the letter?
• Do you collaborate well with field teams and clients to close out punch items and turnover packages?

What You'll Tackle

• Conduct QA/QC inspections on process piping aligned with codes, client specs, drawings, and project quality plans.
• Perform Level II VT on welds and fit-up; confirm integrity and cleanliness standards for high-purity service.
• Review and interpret piping isometrics, P&IDs, welding procedures, and material certificates.
• Validate welder qualifications and WPS compliance before and during production work.
• Evaluate ITPs, ensuring all checkpoints and tests are executed and recorded.
• Maintain material traceability and MTRs from receipt through installation.
• Witness and document hydro/pneumatic pressure testing with complete and accurate reports.
• Create and maintain inspection records, nonconformance reports, and corrective action follow-up.
• Collaborate with construction and QA leads to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
• Verify compliance to ASME, API, and project-specific requirements.
• Support audits and client inspections; participate in walkdowns, punch listing, and turnover.

Must-Haves

• CWI certification.
• Level II Visual Testing (VT) certification.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction.
• Hands-on QA/QC experience with process piping systems.
• Knowledge of ASME, API, and related industry codes/standards.
• Proficiency with isometrics and welding symbols.
• Understanding of WPS/PQR, material traceability, and pressure test criteria.
• Strong communication and technical reporting capabilities.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, detail-oriented setting.
• English language proficiency (spoken and written) sufficient to perform job duties.

Nice-to-Haves

• Additional NDT Level II certifications.
• Experience in fabrication shops and field installation.
• Background in semiconductor, high-purity, or advanced process piping.
• Familiarity with orbital welding.
