Job Description
Responsibilities
? Design, develop, test, and maintain Linux-based software capabilities supporting Computer Network Operations (CNO) missions.
? Develop software primarily in C/C++ and Python for Linux environments.
? Work with low-level Linux functionality, operating system internals, networking, processes, memory, and system interfaces.
? Develop and integrate software capabilities that interact with network protocols, operating systems, and target environments.
? Debug and troubleshoot complex software issues using standard Linux development and diagnostic tools.
? Perform software analysis, testing, and technical research to identify potential solutions to mission requirements.
? Develop prototypes and transition successful capabilities into operationally supportable software.
? Collaborate with vulnerability researchers, reverse engineers, analysts, and other software developers throughout the development lifecycle.
? Participate in code reviews, configuration management, testing, documentation, and software release activities.
? Support existing CNO capabilities through troubleshooting, enhancements, and technical updates.
Qualifications
? Experience developing software in Linux environments.
? Strong development experience with C and/or C++.
? Experience with Python, Bash, or other scripting languages.
? Understanding of Linux operating system concepts, including processes, memory management, file systems, permissions, and networking.
? Knowledge of TCP/IP, network protocols, sockets, and client/server communications.
? Experience debugging software using tools such as GDB or similar development tools.
? Experience with Git or other software configuration management tools.
? Ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop effective software solutions.
? Ability to work independently as well as within a collaborative technical team.
