Job Description
EHC is hiring an Industrial Abrasive Blasting Technician for our client in the Livingston area. In this role, you’ll prepare metal and other substrates for protective coating by executing high-quality abrasive blasting in demanding industrial settings.

You stage the work area, verify your PPE, and charge the blast pot with the specified media—often Black Beauty or Garnet. With air quality and pressure parameters dialed in, you methodically blast, checking anchor profile and cleanliness between passes. You keep the team informed on progress, flag hazards immediately, and wrap up by cleaning equipment and documenting the work.

- Perform surface preparation using blast media such as Black Beauty or Garnet.
- Inspect blasted surfaces to ensure cleanliness and quality requirements are met.

- Maintain clear communication with team members during blasting activities.
- Follow all safety procedures and immediately report unsafe conditions.
- Assist with equipment inspections and routine maintenance to ensure operational readiness.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2–3 years of industrial abrasive blasting experience.
- Hands-on experience with Black Beauty, Garnet, or comparable media.
- Proven ability to work safely in confined spaces and industrial settings.
- Competence operating blasting equipment effectively and safely.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to remain alert and focused for extended periods.
- Clear communication and strong safety awareness.
- Stand, walk, bend, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
- Climb ladders, use scaffolding, and work at elevated heights.
- Wear required PPE, including respiratory protection, for extended durations.
- Lift and move materials and equipment as needed.
- Sufficient strength and stamina for demanding industrial tasks in varied weather and environmental conditions.
- Industrial and manufacturing settings.
- Regular exposure to dust, noise, and temperature fluctuations.
- Frequent use of PPE including respirators, protective suits, gloves, and eye protection.
