Controls Technician - 2nd ShiftPay: $41.72/hourShift: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PMWe are seeking an experienced Controls Technician to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, programming, and continuous improvement of automated manufacturing equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong PLC, robotics, and controls experience who enjoys solving complex technical challenges in a fast-paced production environment.### Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, HMIs, robots, CNC controls, and automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Program, modify, and optimize control systems to improve safety, quality, and production efficiency.
  • Support preventative maintenance activities and automation improvement projects.
  • Maintain electrical schematics, controls documentation, and program backups.
  • Lead root cause analysis and troubleshooting efforts for equipment failures and process issues.
  • Support cycle time reduction, standardization, and error-proofing initiatives throughout the facility.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Controls Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of controls experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience with PLCs, HMIs, robotics, CNC controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, and motion control systems.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, and control documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed to support production operations.
Work Environment

This position works within a manufacturing facility and may be exposed to noise, heat, fumes, and moving equipment.
