As a Serve Safe Senior Living Cook (1st Shift), you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and wellbeing of our residents by preparing delicious and nutritious meals.

About the Role:

As a Serve Safe Senior Living Cook (1st Shift), you will be responsible for:

• Preparing and serving meals to our residents in a timely and efficient manner
• Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment
• Restocking inventory and managing food supplies
• Collaborating with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth meal service
• Adhering to food safety and sanitation standards to ensure the health and wellbeing of our residents

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook meals according to menu and recipe guidelines
• Maintain accurate records of food inventory and usage
• Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained in accordance with regulatory standards
• Participate in the development and implementation of new menu items and recipes
• Collaborate with the dietary team to ensure that resident dietary needs are met

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Serve Safe certification or willingness to obtain
• 1+ year of experience in food preparation and service, preferably in a senior living setting
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
