Job Description

Glassfab Tempering Services - Aurora, Colorado, is a supplier of high-quality glass and hardware products offering exceptional, genuine customer service. Glassfab delivers crafted architectural glass and metal products to custom shower door companies, glass shops and architectural glazing contractors.

With consistent expansion and strong growth, our passion is serving our highly valued customers. We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our team and help shape our rapidly growing future.

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-minded, tech-savvy Customer Service Representative to join our team in custom glass manufacturing. In this role, you will play a hands-on part in our sales operations by converting customer inquiries into accurate quotes and translating detailed project requirements into precise manufacturing orders.

Unlike a traditional phone-heavy call center role, this position is heavily focused on email communication, technical order entry, and spec-checking. A significant portion of your day will be evaluating customer requests —generating accurate quotes, ensuring accurate order entry, and updating customers on delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Order Processing: Accurately review, enter, and verify custom glass orders in the order management system; prepare and deliver customer quotes via email and phone; and respond to inquiries regarding quote details, order status, lead times, and delivery logistics.

  • Production Support: Partner with plant production leads and the sales team to verify manufacturing capabilities, clarify technical specifications, monitor job progress, and resolve order discrepancies, re-makes, customer concerns, and delivery issues to ensure an efficient, seamless order lifecycle.

What Success Looks Like in This Role

  • Technical Precision: You enjoy working with numbers, dimensions, and precise technical specifications, finding satisfaction in catching small errors before an order hits the plant floor.

  • Effective Communication: You prefer clear, written communication (email) for complex project specs, backed up by prompt phone calls when quick coordination is needed.

  • Collaborative & Respectful Mindset: You thrive in an active, open-office team environment through strong teamwork, clear communication, and mutual respect for fellow team members as you navigate daily priorities together.

  • Focus Under Pressure: You excel at staying organized and maintaining high accuracy in a fast-paced, interactive sales office where data precision directly impacts shop-floor production.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Prior experience in order entry, technical customer support, building materials, estimating, or a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Technical & Data Aptitude: High comfort level working with measurements, fractions/decimals, material specifications, and order entry.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and the ability to learn specialized manufacturing software quickly.
  • Communication: Clear, concise, and professional written communication skills with strong verbal skills for customer and plant coordination.
  • Detail-Oriented: Exceptional organizational skills and a "measure twice, cut once" mindset toward data entry.

Job Type: Full-time

Benefits:

  • Dental insurance
  • Employee discount
  • Health insurance
  • Life insurance
  • Paid sick time
  • Paid time off
