Job Summary
CT Technologist Radiology Location unspecified. This position involves performing standard computed tomography (CT) imaging, including stroke and trauma scans, in an acute care setting. The role requires providing patient transport, coordinating handoffs, incident reporting, and maintaining room cleanliness, with a focus on diagnostic imaging excellence.

Job Details

  • Position Description: Conducting standard CT imaging procedures, including stroke and trauma scans. Responsibilities include transporting patients to the emergency room, facilitating tech-to-nurse handoffs, incident documentation, stocking rooms, cleaning, and contacting environmental services for final cleaning.
  • Required Qualifications: Certification as a Certified Computed Tomography TechnologistARRT (CT), ARRT (Radiologic Technologist) with ARRT (R) credential, current UT license, BLS certification, and at least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Schedule: Tuesday to Friday, 7:30 PM to 6:00 AM, 11.5-hour shifts, minimum of 34.5 hours per week. Response time for call or standby is 30 minutes.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with GE, Phillips, or Siemens radiology equipment and familiarity with EPIC and FIJI PACS software.
  • Additional Information: The department utilizes Phillips 64 and 16 slice CT scanners, along with Carestream and Phillips portable units. Knowledge of starting IVs is helpful but not routine. Shift orientation includes a specific department-specific program, and the hospital maintains a policy allowing cancellation of up to four shifts per 13-week assignment.
