Shift: 1st Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (Flexible)
Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Calibration Technician to support clients' R&D laboratories.
In this role, you will coordinate calibration, maintenance, and repair services for laboratory and testing equipment, maintain accurate equipment records, manage supply orders, and support laboratory safety and compliance.
This position is ideal for someone with experience in a laboratory, manufacturing, quality inspection, testing, or another hands-on technical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate equipment calibration, maintenance, and repairs with external vendors and internal teams.
- Maintain equipment inventory, calibration records, certificates, and service documentation.
- Review calibration and service reports for accuracy and completeness.
- Track equipment service costs and calibration expenses.
- Assist with out-of-tolerance investigations and equipment impact assessments.
- Order laboratory supplies and consumables to support daily operations.
- Create purchase requisitions and orders using SAP, SRM, or similar systems.
- Conduct routine laboratory walkthroughs to identify safety, housekeeping, and compliance concerns.
- Support process improvements related to laboratory safety, equipment reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Perform basic equipment inspections and calibration activities as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent, with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in manufacturing, quality inspection, testing, laboratory operations, technical support, or a similar technical environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience maintaining equipment records or using equipment management databases.
- Familiarity with SAP, SRM, or other purchasing systems.
- Experience using measurement tools such as gauges, calipers, or multimeters.
- Experience coordinating with external vendors or service providers.
- Previous experience in a laboratory, manufacturing, or regulated environment.
Work Environment
This is a fully onsite position with a Monday–Friday schedule. Candidates should be comfortable coordinating equipment services, maintaining documentation, supporting laboratory operations, and following established safety and quality procedures.
