Human Resources Generalist

Overview

Vayan Group is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support HR operations across our organization. Reporting to the Human Resources Director, this role assists with employee onboarding and training, payroll support, employee relations, immigration administration, safety and workers’ compensation, recordkeeping, reporting, and compliance. The ideal candidate is organized, discreet, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support employee onboarding, orientation, training coordination, and personnel recordkeeping.
• Assist with payroll administration, HRIS (UKG) updates, data accuracy, and routine HR reporting.
• Support employee relations matters, workplace investigations, and documentation in partnership with the HR Director.
• Coordinate benefits, leave administration, and workers’ compensation processes as assigned.
• Assist with immigration and employment authorization documentation and related tracking.
• Support safety initiatives, training records, and compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws.
• Prepare reports, analyze HR data, and help improve HR processes and employee service.

Requirements

• Minimum 5-7 years of Human Resources experience.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR practices.
• Experience supporting onboarding, training, employee relations, investigations, and HR recordkeeping.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS (UKG) systems; ability to prepare reports and maintain accurate data.
• Strong organizational, communication, technical writing, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive employee information with discretion and confidentiality.
• Experience with payroll support, workers’ compensation, immigration, or workplace safety preferred.

Education

• College degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred; OSHA training a plus.
