Job Description

(Balch Springs, TX): Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Plant Administrative Manager to support plant operations, oversee administrative functions, and coordinate human resources, financial processes, compliance, and employee relations. This role works closely with plant leadership and corporate departments to ensure operational efficiency and support workforce needs.


Essential Duties


- Provide day-to-day administrative support and direction in coordination with the Plant Manager.

- Lead and supervise plant administrative staff, as applicable, by establishing priorities, performance expectations, and development plans.

- Manage general office operations, purchasing, records management, document control, administrative systems, and internal communications.

- Coordinate human resources functions, including onboarding, personnel records, timekeeping, benefits administration support, and policy implementation.

- Partner with plant leadership on employee relations, including issue resolution, disciplinary processes, investigations, and communication of policies and expectations.

- Serve as the primary administrative liaison between plant operations and corporate support departments, including Finance, HR, IT, EHS, Sales, and Customer Service.

- Support regulatory, customer, and internal audits by maintaining accurate electronic and physical documentation and records.

- Assist plant leadership with reporting, budgeting, vendor management, and special projects.

- Support payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and basic financial control processes.

- Coordinate and support plant safety initiatives, employee training programs, and compliance activities.

- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

- Maintain effective communication between plant operations, corporate functions, employees, customers, and outside vendors.

- Ensure administrative processes align with applicable regulations, company policies, operational requirements, and business objectives.

- Remain accessible to plant leadership and respond to operational or emergency situations as needed.


Requirements/Skills


- Minimum of five years of progressively responsible administrative or operations experience, preferably in a manufacturing, industrial, or high-production environment.

- Knowledge of payroll processes, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and basic financial controls.

- Working knowledge of human resources administration, employee relations, and applicable compliance requirements.

- Experience supporting or coordinating safety and employee training programs.

- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business systems, including ERP, HRIS, or similar platforms.

- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments and organizational levels.

- Ability and willingness to work on-site and remain actively engaged in daily plant activities.

- Demonstrated integrity, accountability, initiative, and a team-oriented approach.

- Strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and the ability to influence, motivate, and support employees at multiple levels.

- Experience leading administrative or cross-functional teams preferred.

- Familiarity with OSHA requirements and other manufacturing-related safety standards preferred.

- Experience partnering with corporate HR, Finance, and EHS teams preferred.

- Knowledge of payroll processing and timekeeping systems preferred.

- Experience with Lean principles, continuous improvement, or process optimization preferred.

- Relevant professional certifications, such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, OSHA 10/30, CSP, APS, or APM, are preferred.

- Ability to work a full-time schedule, normally Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional night and weekend work as required.

- Ability to maintain phone accessibility outside normal working hours and respond to emergencies as needed.

- Remote work is at the discretion of the immediate supervisor.


Physical Requirements


- Frequently required to sit, talk, and listen while performing job duties.

- Occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, or crouch.

- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

- Ability to perform work requiring close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.

- Ability to work in a professional office environment and spend time on the production floor, in warehousing areas, and in inventory storage areas.

- Ability to operate standard office equipment, including computers, smartphones, photocopiers, filing systems, and presentation equipment.
