Mosaic Farmers Market Prep Worker / Sales Associate

The business, McLean Bagels, has staff openings for working at the Fresh Farm Mosaic farmers market at the Mosaic shopping area in Merrifield/Fairfax, Viriginia.

Work activities include tent and equipment setup before a market starts, equipment breakdown afterwards, toasting and topping bagels for takeaway orders, and taking and processing customer orders.  During a market, one can only prep or take orders at any given time, and we try to rotate people to different positions of they so desire.  Training is provided for all work.

The business started in February, 2025 and has become popular and grown quickly based on the popularity of its long-fermented sourdough bagels.  The longer process and the use of a starter in lieu of commercial yeast develop richer, more complex flavors that customers immediately recognize when trying a free sample.

The business began selling sourdough bagels at farmers markets in February, 2025. We presently serve three farmers markets, to include two large ones.

We are a startup intent on building on the strength of the foundation product as long-fermented sourdough bagels just taste better, something customers notice right away.
