Material Handler Forklift Operator

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Shipping/Receiving Clerk III to manage shipping, receiving, and inventory handling operations with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Process outgoing shipments in accordance with shipping orders, including preparation of bills of lading and related documentation
• Package and prepare products for shipment using appropriate materials and methods to ensure safe transit
• Interpret packing specifications and determine proper container sizes based on product dimensions and drawings
• Fabricate and assemble shipping crates, including use of wood, steel strapping, and protective materials
• Verify shipment contents, label packages accurately, and record weights
• Receive incoming materials, inspect for accuracy against purchase orders, and report discrepancies
• Maintain accurate shipment and inventory records using computer systems and barcode scanners
• Print and apply barcode labels to received goods
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, hoists, and pallet jacks
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of shipping and receiving areas
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 5–10 years of relevant shipping/receiving or warehouse experience
• Prior experience assembling mechanical products preferred
• Forklift (tow motor) experience strongly preferred
• Basic computer skills and experience with inventory systems
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proven work stability and longevity in previous roles
