Location: Austin, Texas

Kodiak Labor Solutions is hiring experienced Sheet Metal Mechanics and Journeymen for commercial construction projects in the Austin area.

PAY RATES

• Sheet Metal Mechanics: $22–$28 per hour
• Sheet Metal Journeymen: $28–$36 per hour
• Hours: 40–60 hours per week
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10-hour shifts, overtime available, weekends as needed
• Job Type: Full-time

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install and assemble commercial HVAC ductwork, vents, and sheet metal systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.
• Measure, cut, bend, fabricate, and install sheet metal components.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Inspect installations and troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Follow OSHA safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
• Coordinate with foremen, project managers, and other trades.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous sheet metal experience in commercial or industrial construction.
• Ability to read blueprints and use sheet metal tools.
• Journeyman-level experience required for journeyman pay.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various jobsite conditions.
• Reliable transportation, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
