Inspector Helper - Immediate Start - Temp assignment

(Waller, TX): Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking an Inspector Helper to assist inspectors with drill pipe inspections, cleaning, maintenance, and related field duties. This position requires travel throughout Houston and surrounding areas, as well as East Texas and South Texas.

Pay: $18–$19 per hour for candidates with no experience; $20–$21 per hour for candidates with experience.

Essential Duties:

- Operate power tools, including drills and grinders, to clean drill pipe connections and remove rust from drill pipe.

- Assist with operating drill pipe jacks and hydraulic equipment after receiving training.

- Assist inspectors with tallying and tracking drill pipe.

- Paint drill pipe connections as needed.

- Apply thread compound to drill pipe connections.

- Assist inspectors with daily inspection activities and other field-related tasks.

- Follow all safety procedures when operating tools and equipment.

- Travel to assigned job sites throughout Houston, surrounding areas, East Texas, and South Texas.

- Remain on assignment with the inspector until the job is completed.

Requirements/Skills:

- No prior experience required; on-the-job training will be provided.

- Candidates with relevant experience may qualify for a higher starting pay rate.

- Ability to operate power tools safely or willingness to learn.

- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively alongside inspectors and other crew members.

- Willingness to travel and stay overnight for out-of-town assignments, typically lasting 5–7 days.

- Reliable transportation to the designated meeting location, as required.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.

- Ability to work in an industrial or outdoor field environment.

Physical Requirements:

- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.

- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday.

- Ability to operate drills, grinders, and hydraulic equipment safely.

- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and industrial environments.

- Ability to travel to job sites and remain on assignment until work is completed.
