Fitter Helper

• Structural Assembly & Support: Assist in building large structural and mechanical fabrications using power tools and blueprint specifications.
• Metal Processing & Fabrication: Analyze diagrams to cut and form plate metal using applicable equipment, ensuring tight tolerances.
• Rigging & Crane Operation: Assist with overhead crane rigging and lifting techniques to safely move materials and equipment parts.
• Quality & Shop Maintenance: Perform quality checks on finished products and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Safety & Daily Operations: Conduct pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections, report hazards, and complete assigned shop tasks safely.

• Experience: 1+ years of experience working in a fabrication shop environment.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Technical College training or Welding Certification is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Basic math skills, proficient with standard measuring tools, and a strong desire to learn blueprint reading and welding (Stick/Flux-Core).
• Physical Capabilities: Ability to lift 50+ lbs consistently, climb ladders, work at heights or in confined spaces, and stand or walk for long periods.
• Attributes: Self-motivated, safety-conscious, goal-driven, and eager to grow within the manufacturing industry.

• Position Type: Full-Time, Hourly (Individual Contributor)
• Pay Range: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)
• Work Location: On-site shop environment in Pelham / Pinson, AL
• Work Environment: Active manufacturing facility with exposure to seasonal temperatures, noise, and shop elements
