The role begins remotely and involves assisting with topics such as health coverage, retirement plans, enrollment support, and claims inquiries while delivering a dependable service experience.
Responsibilities:
• Respond to employee inquiries about benefit programs, including medical coverage, retirement options, claims, and enrollment matters, with accuracy and professionalism.
• Walk employees through online tools, account access, and available resources so they can complete benefits-related tasks successfully.
• Investigate service issues, provide appropriate resolutions when possible, and direct more complex concerns to the correct support channels.
• Record each customer interaction thoroughly in internal systems to maintain accurate service and case documentation.
• Handle conversations across multiple platforms and applications while maintaining a high level of attentiveness and service quality.
• Safeguard confidential employee information by following privacy expectations and secure handling procedures.
• Maintain consistent availability during the assigned regular schedule, including the required half-day Saturday shift and Wednesday off.
• Participate fully in required training and apply new processes, tools, and service standards quickly and effectively.• Prior experience in customer service, call center operations, benefits support, insurance, healthcare, banking, human resources, claims, or a similarly fast-paced service environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain information clearly and professionally.
• Ability to work independently, use sound judgment, and remain dependable in a remote work setting.
• Comfort using multiple computer systems and learning new technology with minimal ramp-up time.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to complete documentation.
• Private home workspace that supports confidential conversations and minimizes distractions during working hours.
• Secure home internet service with minimum speeds of 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload; mobile hotspots are not acceptable.
• Availability to complete approximately 3 to 4 weeks of training with reliable attendance.
