RQ construction is quickly becoming one of the leading players in the commercial & government industry on the East Coast. We are seeking a full-time General Laborers in Elizabeth City, North Carolina to join our team.

This position is responsible for performing tasks that involve physical labor at a construction site using hand and power tools of all types. As a General Laborer, you may also assist other craft workers in their duties, while also cleaning and preparing sites, cleaning up rubble and debris, and removing other non-hazardous waste materials. In addition, this position may operate one or several types of power construction equipment. This is all to be done using the appropriate equipment and implementing the required safety practices in support of RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values. RQ Construction believes in the growth and development of our employees, so on the job training and certifications are provided per the project needs for safety, equipment operations, etc.

Pay: $17.20 - $20.00 hr. DOE

Qualifications are as follows:

• A high school diploma or GED is the preferred minimum formal education for this position.
• Two or more years (or equivalent) field or trade work experience in commercial construction required; government, military, or large commercial construction experience preferred.
• Carpentry and equipment background preferred.
• CPR and First Aid Certifications preferred; Specific training or certificates in the following preferred:
  
  • Fall protection training
  • Scissor lift/boom lift certificate
  • OSHA 10-hour or OSHA 30-hour
  • Trenching & Shoring training
  • Confined Space Training
  • Lockout/Tagout training
