Night Auditor

We are looking to hire a hotel night auditor to work from 11PM-7AM, can be 3-5 days of work available. The right applicant will need excellent customer service skills and audit/hotel experience are a plus and preferably with a driver's license. We will be looking to hire and train ASAP. Represents the hotel to the guest throughout all stages of the guest’s stay by working with all hotel personnel to ensure every guest experiences exceptional customer service. Includes registering guests, assigning rooms, accommodating special requests, and ensuring the guests have a pleasant stay and smooth check-out.

• Maintains an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments.

• Possesses a solid knowledge of the property management system.

• Makes same-day and future guest reservations. Understands and follows cancellation procedures.

• Answers multi-line telephones with approved greetings and directs appropriately.

• Familiarity with room types and hotel information; possesses sales skills to sell accordingly.

• Balances guest accounts and credit cards at check-out.

• Uses persuasive selling techniques to up-sell rooms and amenities.

• Resolves guests’ complaints in a prompt and courteous manner.

• Ensures customer privacy is protected.

• Maintains a balanced cash drawer.

• Maintains inter-shift and inter-department communication throughout the hotel.

• Documents incidents and relevant shift information with details and appropriately.

• Maintains a high level of professional appearance and demeanor.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Experience in a hospitality or customer service role, preferably in a hotel setting.
• Ability to work independently during overnight shifts, ensuring smooth operations from 11 PM to 7 AM.
• Proven track record of handling guest reservations and cancellations with accuracy and efficiency.
• Familiarity with property management systems to manage room assignments and inventory effectively.
• Strong communication skills to answer multi-line telephones and direct calls appropriately.
• Ability to balance guest accounts and credit cards at check-out, maintaining financial accuracy.
• Experience in using persuasive selling techniques to up-sell rooms and amenities to guests, enhancing their stay experience and boosting hotel revenue.
