Construction junior project manager/project engineer

The following are the roles and responsibilities

-municipal project experience preferred NYCDDC, NYSDOT, NYCDEP, SCA, NCDPW, SCDPW

-reviewing design plans, specifications, and reports for projects

-dealing with clients and consultants for project specific problems on a regular basis to ensure progress is maintained

-preparing project documents, contract documents and specifications, proposals, and participating in weekly meetings

-apply for NYCDOT work permits

-planning, scheduling and coordinating projects to meet deadlines

-submit the Submittals, RFI for all general trades contractor/ vendors for multiple projects

-ability to combine knowledge of engineering methods, construction methods and management skills

-assist in scope coordination/ constructability issue resolution during construction as requested by the project manager

-draft change orders, solicit proces from subcontractors and suppliers

-maintain reports and logs for all deliverables

-prepare monthly pay requests for project manager approval

-effectively manage project scope by ensuring any changes to scope are documented and approved with the project change request forms

-proactively assess project issues and identify solutions to meet productivity, quality, and financial goals
