Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with continuous monitoring and management of dysrhythmias
• Perform telemetry remote monitoring and respond appropriately to cardiac rhythm changes
• Administer blood products and perform phlebotomy and IV insertion as needed
• Utilize and coordinate Rapid Response Teams when clinically indicated
• Perform non-invasive airway management in accordance with unit protocols
• Float to nearby affiliated facilities with advance notice (4–6 hours before shift) if a critical staffing need arises; floating mid-shift is not expected

Required Qualifications

• Valid California RN License (required at time of submission)
• ACLS and BLS certifications required at time of submittal
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing experience
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia management, blood product administration, phlebotomy, IV insertion, and non-invasive airway management
• Ability to commit to the full assignment dates with availability to work 2–3 holidays based on unit needs; maximum of 7 days RTO (holiday RTO is unlikely to be approved); blackout dates apply November 22–November 30 and December 21–January 4
• Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Rapid Response Team protocols in an acute care environment
• Familiarity with remote telemetry monitoring systems
• Two supervisor references preferred
