Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with continuous monitoring and management of dysrhythmias
• Perform telemetry remote monitoring and respond appropriately to rhythm changes
• Administer blood products and perform phlebotomy and IV insertion
• Utilize Rapid Response Teams as clinically indicated
• Provide non-invasive airway management as needed
• Float to nearby affiliated facilities with 4–6 hours advance notice if a critical staffing need arises; floating mid-shift is not expected

Required Qualifications

• Valid California RN license (required at time of submission)
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry experience
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia management, blood product administration, phlebotomy, IV insertion, and non-invasive airway management
• Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working with Rapid Response Teams in an acute care setting
• Familiarity with remote telemetry monitoring systems
• Two supervisor references preferred
