Travel RN – ICU Stepdown

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 3x12 shifts | Every other weekend | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an ICU Stepdown unit serving Post-Op, Cardiovascular, Neurological, Full Stroke, Respiratory, and Stepdown patient populations
• Monitor and manage patients using Philips bedside monitors and EPIC EMR
• Titrate cardiac drips including Nitroglycerin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Esmolol
• Manage patients on BiPAP and Airvo high-flow oxygen therapy
• Recognize and respond appropriately to deteriorating patient conditions
• Float to other units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of experience in ICU Stepdown or a comparable specialty
• Experience with Post Cardiovascular Surgery and Post Stroke patients
• Ability to titrate cardiac drips and manage respiratory support equipment (BiPAP, Airvo)
• Demonstrated ability to recognize and respond to a deteriorating patient

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-acuity stepdown or progressive care unit
• Familiarity with Philips bedside monitoring systems
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR
• Team-oriented, collaborative approach to patient care
