Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to Labor and Delivery patients, including high-risk OB and a culturally diverse patient population
• Circulate on cesarean sections as required
• Manage an average daily census of 15–20 patients across an 11-room, 15-bed unit
• Float within scope of practice to meet facility staffing needs, including potential float to nearby sister facilities
• Meet weekend staffing requirements as needed
• Commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN license required (pending licenses not accepted; compact license must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
• Willingness to float within scope to meet facility needs
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal; post-offer RTO requests may not be considered (maximum 7 days RTO)
• 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at the standard rate; candidates within 50 miles may be considered at a reduced rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Postpartum nursing experience preferred
• Experience working with high-risk OB populations
• Experience circulating in cesarean section procedures
