Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical (Travel Contract)

Mayfield, KY | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical/Surgical unit serving patients of all ages across a 57-bed floor (3rd and 4th floor combined unit)
• Manage patient ratios of up to 1:6 with PCA assistance
• Document and manage patient records using the MediTech EHR system
• Assist with common diagnoses and treatments including COPD, post-operative joint care, and diabetic patient management
• Fulfill weekend rotation requirements on an every-other/as-needed basis and respond to call requirements as needed
• Float to like units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure valid for practice in the state of Kentucky
• ACLS certification required prior to start
• BLS certification required prior to start
• CPI/HWC/MAB certification required prior to start
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Medical/Surgical acute care setting
• Familiarity with MediTech or similar EHR platforms
• Experience caring for geriatric, adult, and diverse patient populations
• Compassionate, kind, and team-oriented approach to patient care
