Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Neurological and Surgical ICU setting, managing complex and critically ill patients
• Care for trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU patient populations requiring advanced clinical assessment and intervention
• Utilize Epic EMR for documentation, order management, and patient record maintenance
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Adhere to unit protocols, dress code requirements (navy blue scrubs), and facility policies throughout the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of New York
• Minimum 2 years of ICU staff experience specifically covering trauma, surgical, AND neurological ICU patients
• Trauma Level One experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Must successfully complete a competency test within 24 hours of submission
• Candidates must not reside in ineligible local counties — local candidates are not being accepted for this position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience managing high-acuity neurological and post-surgical ICU patients in a large academic or teaching medical center environment
• Strong familiarity with critical care protocols in a high-volume, Level One Trauma facility
• Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and unit-specific workflows
