About the Position

LocumJobsOnline is working with Wellhart, LLC to find a qualified Obstetrics and Gynecology MD in Ottumwa, Iowa, 52501!

We are seeking an experienced Obstetrics/Gynecology Physician for a 30-day assignment in Iowa. This role involves working 10-14 day stretches that include rotating call with current providers and available clinic shifts, with clinic hours Monday through Thursday 8 AM to 5 PM and Fridays 8 AM to 12 PM. The assignment, commencing upon credentialing, focuses on fetal heart rate interpretation, routine vaginal deliveries, and managing a patient volume of approximately 15-20 per day, with an average of 30-40 deliveries per month while on call.Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform FHR interpretation, including NST/CST/FSE
• Conduct routine vaginal deliveries
• Manage an average of 15-20 patients per day in clinic
• Handle approximately 30-40 deliveries per month while on call

Additional Information

• Board Certifications: Obstetrics and Gynecology
• EMR: Athenahealth and Meditech EHR
• Requirements: Current Iowa medical license or IMLC eligibility
• Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Burn Life Life Support (ABLS)
• Setting: Clinic and Call environment
• Call Schedule: Out of House Call, expected to be on call for the entire 10-14 day stretch
• Patient Volume: 15-20 patients per day
• LOA: 30 Days
• Staffing Mix: 2 RNs, 3 PA/NPs, 1 MA, and 2 Office Staff
