Building Maintenance Technician

Location: Local Municipality (Pineville, LA Area)
Pay: $15.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Job Description

A local municipality is seeking dependable and motivated individuals for Building Maintenance Technician positions. This role is responsible for performing general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of municipal buildings and facilities to help ensure they remain safe, clean, and fully operational.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in maintaining facilities, and wants a consistent weekday schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair work on public buildings and facilities
• Conduct routine inspections and identify maintenance needs
• Assist with basic repairs, painting, carpentry, and facility upkeep
• Repair and maintain doors, windows, fixtures, and other building components
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
• Move supplies, equipment, and furniture as needed
• Follow all safety policies and procedures
• Complete assigned maintenance tasks in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Previous building maintenance, construction, or general labor experience preferred
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
• Reliable transportation and strong attendance record
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
