Job Description

As a Materials Associate, you will play a vital role in the warehouse by picking and handling orders using the Voxware system, which includes a headset, hand device, and scanner. This voice-to-pick system assigns new orders upon completion of each task. You will be using carts and totes for picking, and after completing an order, you will proceed to the pack-out area. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift is necessary. Training will take approximately 1 to 2 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Pick orders using the Voxware voice-to-pick system.
• Handle carts and totes for efficient order picking.
• Complete orders and proceed to the pack-out area.
• Revisit the supervisor for new orders once a task is completed.
• Ensure accurate order picking to avoid sending incorrect items.
• Contribute to inventory control and cycle counts.
• Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts as needed.
• Utilize RF scanners for loading and unloading tasks.

Essential Skills

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Strong attention to detail to prevent sending incorrect items.
• Excellent attendance and responsibility.
• Sense of urgency in a delivery-time-driven warehouse.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience of ideally 3 years.
• Willingness to learn and adapt.
• Consistency in job tenure, avoiding job hopping.

Work Environment

The warehouse is clean, climate-controlled, and well-organized, fostering a relaxed atmosphere as long as tasks are completed. The team consists of 22 employees, including supervisors. Employees can wear comfortable attire, provided it is appropriate and includes closed-toed shoes. The breakroom offers vending machines, a TV, and ample seating, with access to microwaves and a fridge. Employees may leave the site for lunch, clocking out and in as necessary.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greensboro, NC.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Greensboro,NC.
