Special Education Teacher in Arvada, CO

This full-time position serves a dedicated classroom of 11 students at the elementary level, benefiting from a strong support team of paraeducators and specialists across related services. Key Qualifications:

• Minimum TWO years of classroom experience supporting students with autism and behavioral challenges
• Hold or be in the process of obtaining a valid CDE license (Colorado Department of Education) – required to submit active license documentation with your application
• Demonstrated flexibility and collaborative spirit as a team player
• Strong communication skills with students, families, and professional staff
• Ability to participate in an in-person interview and school tour as part of the selection process

Core Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs and goals
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
• Collaborate daily with paraeducators, BCBA, SLP, OT/PT, Psychologist/Social Worker, and other educators to deliver coordinated support
• Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and behavior management techniques
• Maintain accurate, timely data and documentation
• Engage caregivers and stakeholders in the educational process

This onsite position runs through May 21, 2027, with a standard schedule of 37.5 hours per week (35 hours paid, 2.5 hours unpaid lunches). Experience the satisfaction of helping students achieve their potential while working alongside dedicated professionals.
