School-Based Physical Therapist - Aurora, IL

Exciting opportunities are available for passionate Physical Therapists interested in school-based settings! Multiple openings are available for contract professionals who can provide in-person physical therapy services across several schools in the area. Both full-time and part-time candidates will be considered, with schedules aligning to school hours, and start times between 7:30 and 8:30am, Monday through Friday.

As a valued member of the educational team, you’ll serve students from elementary through transition programs, directly impacting their physical independence and participation in school life. With a diverse caseload of 35-45 students, you’ll gain experience working with both general education and self-contained classrooms, traveling between schools to ensure comprehensive care.

Qualifications:

• Master’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (MPT/DPT)
• Active Illinois Physical Therapy License
• Previous experience in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills for working within multidisciplinary teams
• Capable of traveling between multiple school locations during the school day

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations and develop individualized physical therapy plans
• Deliver personalized interventions and monitor progress
• Train and support both staff and students in the use of adaptive and mobility equipment
• Collaborate closely with teachers, nurses, therapists, and paraprofessionals
• Maintain accurate daily documentation, progress reports, and goal updates
