Physical Therapist - School Setting in Des Plaines, IL

Step into a dynamic school-based physical therapy role where you can make a meaningful difference in students’ lives. This contract opportunity allows you to work across 1-2 campuses in the Des Plaines area, providing dedicated services to approximately 10-15 students. You’ll collaborate with a supportive team and enjoy consistent hours—7:20 a.m. to 2:35 p.m., two days per week.

Skills & Experience Desired:

• Illinois Physical Therapy license required
• Previous experience working with school-aged children is a plus
• Strong knowledge of best practices in pediatric physical therapy
• Comfort working collaboratively as part of an IEP team
• Excellent communication, documentation, and organization skills

Role Responsibilities:

• Support students’ physical development through targeted, individualized interventions
• Assess student abilities, track progress, and collect relevant data
• Work closely with IEP teams to set and review goals
• Develop tailored therapy plans based on each student’s unique needs
• Deliver therapy sessions that promote mobility, participation, and independence within the school environment
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in accordance with district and licensure requirements
