School Occupational Therapist | Homer, Louisiana

Exciting opportunity available for a skilled Occupational Therapist seeking a meaningful contract role in an educational setting near Homer, LA. Key Qualifications:

• Current and active Occupational Therapist license in the state of Louisiana
• School-based OT experience strongly preferred
• Ability to conduct evaluations and deliver therapy independently
• Comfortable supervising a COTA as part of the role
• Strong organizational skills to oversee a varied caseload and multiple locations
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Commitment to working onsite during scheduled service days

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to students in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Provide therapy at Arcadia High School and Crawford Elementary, both conveniently located in Arcadia, LA
• Perform PreK evaluations every Friday, supporting early intervention
• Supervise and support a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
• Maintain detailed service documentation and contribute to student progress reports
• Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to foster student growth
• Travel between two school sites on Tuesdays and Wednesdays (with Fridays allocated for PreK evaluations)

This part-time contract role requires a commitment of 20-25 hours each week and runs until late May 2027.
