School-Based Physical Therapist - Evanston, IL

Make a positive impact in the educational setting by supporting students’ physical development through a rewarding contract position as a Physical Therapist. Work closely with a dedicated team and help learners succeed in their daily activities and long-term growth. This opportunity involves service at 1-2 school sites near Evanston, IL, focusing on a manageable group of approximately 10-15 students. With a schedule of two days per week—from 7:20 a.m. to 2:35 p.m.—you’ll engage in meaningful, hands-on work while maintaining flexibility in your work-life balance.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Hold a current, valid Physical Therapist licensure for the state of Illinois
• Experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations is highly preferred
• Strong understanding of individualized education program (IEP) processes and collaboration
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
• Organized, detail-oriented, and skilled in data collection and documentation

Position Responsibilities:

• Provide targeted physical therapy services to students with diverse needs across 1-2 school sites
• Develop and implement therapy plans tailored to individual student goals and abilities
• Assess, monitor, and support the physical development and progress of each student
• Collaborate and consult with teachers, support staff, and the IEP team
• Maintain accurate data, progress notes, and contribute to IEP meetings with relevant insights
