Social Worker | Davison, Michigan

A rewarding opportunity is available for a School Social Worker passionate about supporting student growth and well-being in an educational setting. This contract assignment offers the chance to make a significant impact across various grade levels, working with special education students who benefit from both small group and individualized interventions.

Located near Davison, MI, this role covers a range of local cities including Grand Blanc, Lansing, and Detroit. The assignment is slated to run from ASAP through June 11, 2027, with a commitment of 35 hours per week. While onsite presence is preferred, strong and experienced candidates may be considered for virtual (VOCO) arrangements. Flexibility exists to serve elementary (K-6), middle, or high school (7-12) caseloads—candidates are encouraged to share their grade level preference during the application process.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
• Current LARA license and Michigan Department of Education (MDE) School Social Worker Approval.
• One of the following: Preliminary School Social Worker Certificate (PSSWC), Professional School Social Worker Certificate (PSWC), or a School Social Worker Permit (SSWP).
• Ability to provide official university transcripts upon request.
• Experience or motivation to work with special education students, delivering intervention support in group and one-on-one formats.
• Preference for onsite candidates; consideration given to VOCO for robust experience.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group-based intervention support for special education students.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to create supportive learning environments.
• Provide social-emotional guidance and crisis intervention as needed.
