Special Education Teacher | Espanola, New Mexico

What we’re seeking:

• Previous experience teaching special education students in a K-12 setting
• Deep understanding of IEP development, implementation, and evaluation
• Ability to differentiate instruction for students with diverse learning needs
• Strong classroom management and collaboration skills
• Current state licensure (or eligibility) as a Special Education Teacher
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities

Your primary responsibilities:

• Design and deliver individualized lesson plans aligned with IEP goals
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, general education teachers, and support staff
• Maintain thorough, timely documentation to support student progress monitoring
• Facilitate inclusion and promote a welcoming, equitable classroom culture
• Engage in regular parent and team meetings to review student performance
• Adapt lesson plans, resources, and learning activities to best serve students’ needs
