Special Education Teacher in Arvada, CO

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education licensure required
• Demonstrated experience as a Special Education Teacher, particularly with students with significant support needs (SSN)
• Ability to create and implement effective individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Skilled in collaborating with other educators, aides, and families to meet each student’s needs
• Strong organizational and communication abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to each student’s IEP goals and unique needs
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and growth
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers for comprehensive student support
• Monitor and document progress, communicating updates with families and staff as needed
• Support students in developing academic, social, and life skills
• Uphold all best practices and compliance with local and federal special education guidelines

Schedule:

• 34 hours per week, Tuesday through Friday, from 7:30am to 4:30pm
• School is closed on Mondays, offering a consistent extended weekend
