Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification (state requirements apply)
• Experience with elementary-aged students in a special education setting
• Skilled in working with students on the autism spectrum (ASD), particularly with high-needs populations
• Ability to adapt instruction and manage IEPs
• Strong communication and collaborative skills to engage with parents, staff, and support teams

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with ASD
• Modify curriculum and teaching methods to fit students’ unique strengths and needs
• Foster a safe, positive, and accommodating classroom setting
• Employ evidence-based strategies to support academic, social, and behavioral growth
• Collaborate with guidance counselors, therapists, and other educators
• Communicate progress and challenges with families, celebrating student achievements
