Occupational Therapist School Setting in Dubach, LA

Step into a rewarding contract position as a School Occupational Therapist supporting students at two dynamic educational sites. This opportunity offers part-time hours (20-25 per week) with a consistent schedule—on-site services will be provided at Arcadia High School and Crawford Elementary every Tuesday and Wednesday, along with PreK evaluations on Fridays. You’ll have the chance to create positive impacts in the lives of students while also supervising a COTA as needed.

Key Qualifications:

• Active and current Occupational Therapist license issued by the State of Louisiana
• Prior experience delivering OT services in a school setting preferred
• Ability to manage a varied caseload across multiple school sites
• Willingness to supervise and mentor a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
• Excellent organizational and communication skills

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students according to their IEPs
• Complete PreK evaluations on Fridays, ensuring comprehensive and thoughtful assessments
• Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to foster student progress
• Maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with school and state requirements
• Work as an integral part of the special education team
