Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – IMC / PCU / Stepdown

Location

Morgantown, WV | Stepdown / MedSurg

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days (7:00a – 7:30p) | Night shifts also available (7:00p – 7:30a) | Weekend and holiday requirements apply

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 34-bed MedSurg Stepdown/Floor unit with ratios of 1:3 (Stepdown) and 1:5–6 (Floor)
• Titrate IV drips as required per patient care needs
• Monitor telemetry and independently read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips each shift (telemetry techs post strips, but RN proficiency is required)
• Collaborate with in-house Respiratory Therapy (available 24/7) for patients requiring ventilators, CPAP, or BiPAP
• Work alongside Charge Nurses, Transport RNs (days only), and a team of 2–5 Certified Nursing Assistants
• Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in West Virginia or compact state eligibility
• BLS certification (required)
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm strip interpretation
• Experience with IV drip titration
• Full COVID-19 vaccination required (Moderna, Pfizer, or J&J); medical or religious exemption requests must be submitted for review and approval
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a MedSurg Stepdown, IMC, or PCU setting
• Familiarity with ventilator management in a stable patient population
• ACLS certification
