Travel RN – Cardiac Stepdown / PCU / Telemetry

Location

Anchorage, AK | Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Day Shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Rotating Weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 34-bed Progressive Care Unit with a 1:4 patient ratio
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and bedside cardiac monitoring for PCU/stepdown patients
• Operate and manage equipment including defibrillators, Alaris pumps, Kangaroo pumps, and pacing boxes/pacer wires
• Assist with or support procedures such as TEE and cardioversion
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
• Float to ICU and COVID unit as needed; maintain ACLS, BLS, and Advanced EKG certifications throughout the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active Alaska RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a PCU, stepdown, or telemetry setting
• Telemetry experience is required; candidates without this will not be considered
• Active ACLS, BLS, and Advanced EKG certifications required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Cardiovascular nursing background strongly preferred
• Experience managing simple drip/gtts (vasoactive or cardiac infusions)
• Collaborative, team-oriented personality with an adaptable, easy-going approach
