Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shirt Presser to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for expertly pressing shirts and garments to ensure they meet our high standards of quality and presentation. Your work will directly contribute to providing our customers with impeccable clothing care and outstanding service.

Responsibilities

• Operate pressing machines and garment care equipment safely and efficiently to press shirts and other garments
• Ensure each shirt is pressed to the correct specifications, maintaining fabric integrity and appearance
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to hygiene and safety standards
• Handle heavy lifting of garments and supplies with manual handling techniques
• Process laundry services, including garment finishing, dry cleaning, and ironing as needed
• Assist with garment inspection for quality control before customer pickup
• Support overall cleaning duties of work area using appropriate detergents and cleaning supplies

Requirements

• Previous experience in hotel or hospitality laundry or garment finishing is preferred but not required
• Knowledge of garment pressing techniques, pressing machines, and fabric care is highly desirable
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and standing for extended periods
• Basic math skills for processing cash transactions or balancing work stations
• Familiarity with cleaning detergents, laundry processes, and maintaining a clean workspace
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction
• Excellent communication skills for working effectively within a team environment

• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Retail skills: point of sale (POS) operation
• Speaks English
• Able to work in an environment with fluctuating temperatures
• Able to work in an environment with high temperatures
• Reads English
• Able to stand for duration of shift
• Able to comfortably lift 30 lbs
• Available to work: weekdays
