Role SummaryAs a Food Services Specialist, you help ensure residents receive meals that align with prescribed dietary needs and personal preferences, supporting a safe and respectful home-like setting. You will:
- Prepare meals and maintain documentation for menus approved by the facility dietitian
- Post menus for resident awareness; store and label food items correctly
- Follow physician orders for special/modified diets and accommodate known or diagnosed food allergies
Required qualifications:

- 3 years of similar experience (preferred)
Applicants with a C.N.A. background who are interested in a dual role will be considered. Apply to be part of a team where accuracy, food safety, and resident-centered service matter.
Your day is spent onsite in Covington, coordinating closely with the dietitian and program staff to keep meal service running smoothly. You review the day's planned menu, confirm any diet updates, and set up the kitchen so timing and sanitation stay on track. Throughout the shift, you maintain a calm, orderly routine that supports residents' comfort during meals, while keeping an eye on safe temperatures, clean work areas, and clear communication. You'll also take time to update postings and records so residents and staff have consistent, reliable information.
