The W. Dale Brougher Foundation YMCA is seeking an enthusiastic and service-oriented Wellness Attendant to help maintain a safe, welcoming, and motivating environment for members and guests. Essential Responsibilities

• Monitor the Wellness Center to promote safe and appropriate use of fitness equipment.
• Provide friendly assistance and general guidance on strength training and cardiovascular equipment.
• Build positive relationships with members and create a welcoming atmosphere for participants of all fitness levels.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe fitness environment through routine cleaning and equipment upkeep.
• Conduct facility checks and promptly report maintenance concerns, damaged equipment, or safety hazards.
• Follow YMCA emergency procedures and complete incident documentation when required.
• Assist with attendance tracking and other basic operational records.
• Support a culture of safety, wellness, and outstanding member service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• CPR, AED, and First Aid certification required within three months of hire.
• Working knowledge of strength training and cardiovascular fitness equipment.
• Strong customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and organized fitness environment.
• Understanding of basic safety procedures and emergency response protocols.
• Ability to remain active throughout the shift and assist with routine cleaning and equipment maintenance tasks.

Compensation & Schedule

$9.00-$11.00 per hour

Flexible part-time schedule averaging 12-15 hours per week, including:

• Mornings
• Evenings
• Weekends
