Schedule

Responsibilities
Caregivers offer caring, hands-on support to clients in their homes and in the community. Responsibilities may include:

• Helping with bathing, grooming, and other personal care
• Supporting clients with daily living activities
• Preparing meals
• Doing light housekeeping and laundry
• Providing companionship and respite care
• Driving clients, shopping, and running errands
• Reminding clients to take their medications
• Assisting clients with moving around and walking
• Reporting any changes in a client’s condition or unusual incidents
• Responding appropriately in emergencies
• Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous personal care, home care, hospital, nursing home, or direct-care experience preferred
• Compassionate and dependable approach to client care
• Ability to read, write, and follow directions
• Strong communication skills
• Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license
• CPR and First Aid certification is a plus
• Successful completion of a required criminal history check
