Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an acute care facility, requiring 2+ years of experience and an MSPT or DPT credential.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting within the Rehabilitation department
- Caseload split 80% outpatient and 20% inpatient
- Patient population is predominantly adult outpatient orthopedic
- Common diagnoses include joint replacements, back pain, and neck/shoulder pain
- Strict 1:1 patient ratio
- Day shift schedule, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Weekend rotation of 1:4 with call requirements on the same schedule
- No floating required
Requirements
- MSPT or DPT required
- Minimum 1+ years of experience required per unit profile, though 2+ years preferred for consideration
- Experience with general outpatient care including back, neck, and shoulder pain required
- Experience with joint replacement patients required
- Experience with general medical inpatients and joint surgeries preferred
- AHA certifications required
- License required if applicable
- Social security number and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Outgoing personality fit preferred for this role
- Scrubs of any color accepted
- Supervised by a PT lead on the unit
- Facility is a 100-bed, Joint Commission accredited acute care hospital
- Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
