Metal Plater

PrideStaff is seeking a detail-oriented Metal Plater for a trusted manufacturing partner in the greater Largo area. In this role, you will prepare, grind, deburr, and polish metal components to exact quality standards. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspect metal surfaces visually and by touch to detect defects, burrs, uneven welds, or scratches.
• Grind, deburr, blend, and polish metal parts using pneumatic hand tools, belt sanders, die grinders, and buffing equipment.
• Select appropriate abrasive materials, grinding wheels, and polishing compounds for each job.
• Read and follow work orders, specifications, and instructions to ensure finished parts meet required standards.
• Maintain shop safety procedures, wear required protective gear, and keep work areas clean and organized.
• Collaborate with quality control and production team members to resolve surface defects and maintain steady output.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in metal finishing, polishing, grinding, or metal fabrication.
• Familiarity with operating pneumatic tools, sanders, die grinders, and polishing wheels.
• Strong attention to detail and good manual dexterity.
• Ability to read basic work instructions and measure surface quality.
• Reliable attendance, strong work ethic, and commitment to workshop safety guidelines.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
