Welder - 1st Shift

Location: Sandusky, OH
Pay: $21.00 - $41.00 per hour (Based on Experience)

Local Company is seeking experienced and motivated Welders to join our growing manufacturing team on 1st shift. This position is responsible for welding and fabricating conveyor systems and material handling equipment while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG welding on carbon steel components and assemblies
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings
• Assemble and fabricate conveyor frames, supports, and related equipment
• Inspect welds to ensure quality standards and specifications are met
• Utilize measuring tools to verify dimensions and fit-up requirements
• Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
• Grind, clean, and finish welded parts as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all company safety and quality procedures
• Assist with other production duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Previous MIG welding experience required
• Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols
• Experience working in a manufacturing or fabrication environment preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic math and measurement skills required

Physical Requirements:

• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach throughout the shift
• Regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Frequent use of welding equipment and hand tools

Work Environment:

Industrial manufacturing facility with exposure to welding fumes, sparks, machinery, and moderate to high noise levels. Required PPE, including steel-toe footwear and welding protection, must be worn at all times.
