Nexus MedPro Staffing is recruiting an experienced Interventional Radiologist Physician for a contract opportunity supporting the Joseph M. Cleland Atlanta VA Health Care System / Atlanta VA Medical Center in Decatur, Georgia.
Location: Decatur, GA.
Facility: Atlanta VA Medical Center.

POSITION OVERVIEW.
The Interventional Radiologist Physician will provide specialized interventional radiology physician services supporting the Atlanta VA Medical Center.
The role supports the facility's Interventional Radiology services and requires a physician capable of providing high-quality diagnostic and interventional radiology care in accordance with VA and facility standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide specialized Interventional Radiology physician services.
- Evaluate patients and provide appropriate consultations.
- Develop and manage treatment plans.
- Perform interventional radiology procedures within the physician's scope of practice and facility privileges.
- Provide appropriate pre-procedure and post-procedure patient care.
- Maintain complete, accurate, and timely electronic medical record documentation.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams.
- Participate in peer review and quality-improvement activities as required.
- Participate in administrative and clinical meetings when required.
- Follow facility Medical Bylaws, policies, procedures, and applicable VA requirements.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), or equivalent qualifying medical degree.
- Medical education meeting applicable Department of Veterans Affairs requirements.
- Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a U.S. state, territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.
- Appropriate board certification for the Interventional Radiology role.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
- Clear and active DEA certificate.
- Strong clinical experience in Interventional Radiology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and clinical documentation.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Ability to complete required VA credentialing and compliance requirements.
SCHEDULE:
Shift: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM.
Scheduling and coverage will be coordinated based on facility requirements. Candidates should be prepared to meet applicable coverage, on-call, and callback requirements associated with the assignment.

Physician License (Required).
BLS Certification (Required).
ACLS Certification (Required).
Applicable Board Certification (Required).
Active DEA Certificate (Required).
