Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist to support Neuro and Body Interventional Radiology procedures with at least 1 year of specialty experience.
Details
- Interventional Radiology department in an acute care hospital setting
- Supports Neuro and Body Interventional Radiology procedures using single and biplane radiography units
- 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM with a rotating day off
- Call requirements include 1 weekend per month and 1-2 days of call per week
- Two techs on call each shift, a primary and secondary
- Cerner charting system preferred
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience required
- ARRT (R) certification and BLS required
- ARRT Advanced certification preferred
- MO or Compact license required in hand - license required if applicable
- Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Experience with abdominal/pelvic, vascular, neurological, and genitourinary IR procedures including angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, biopsy, and drain/catheter exchanges
- Experience with carotid stenting, TIPS, thrombectomy, vertebroplasty, and renal/ureteral stent placement preferred
- Familiarity with operating room and portable monitor equipment
- Must be able to ambulate, reach, and move objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs
Additional Information
- Performs a wide range of vascular, neurological, genitourinary, and body interventional radiology procedures
- Works in a healthcare facility operating 24/7, 365 days a year
- Must be able to work rotating shifts, holidays, and during inclement weather
- Requires coverage of at least 50% of holidays occurring during the contract
- First-time travelers accepted
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for consideration
